Install GoUtility & Static IP Configuration Guide

Phase 1: Hardware Setup & Driver Installation

  1. Connect the power cable to the GoDEX DT4x printer and plug it into a power outlet.

  2. Connect an Ethernet cable from the printer directly to your network router or switch.

  3. On your Windows computer, download and install the official printer driver from Seagull Scientific:

Phase 2: Configuring Label Size in Windows

  1. On your computer, open the Start menu, search for Control Panel, and open it.

  2. Navigate to Devices and Printers.

  3. Right-click on the GoDEX DT4x printer icon and select Printing Preferences.

  4. Locate the page setup section and click Edit to adjust the label dimensions.

  5. Change the label size to 2 x 1 (Width: 2, Height: 1).

  6. Click OK and save your changes to ensure your labels print correctly.

Phase 3: Locating the IP Address

  1. Download and install the GoUtility software from the official GoDEX website:

  2. Open the GoUtility application and click the Search button. The software will locate the printer on your network and display its current IP Address.

  3. Open your Purejoin Inventory App and enter this IP address into the printer connection settings to link the devices.

Phase 4: Setting a Static IP Address

Configuring a static IP ensures the printer's network address remains constant, maintaining a reliable connection to your POS.

  1. Open a web browser (like Chrome, Edge, or Safari) on your computer.

  2. Type the GoDEX printer's IP address (found in Phase 3) into the address bar at the top and press Enter. (For example: 192.168.38.211).

  3. You will be prompted to log in to the printer's web interface. Use the default credentials:

    • Account: admin

    • Password: 1111

  4. Once logged in, navigate to the Configuration menu, then select TCP/IP.

  5. On the TCP/IP Configuration Settings page, select the Static IP option.

  6. Enter your preferred static IP Address details for your network.

  7. Click Submit to save your changes. Your GoDEX printer is now successfully configured with a static IP address.
